About The Position

Summary: The Hybrid Warehouse Material Handler/Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including pulling and staging orders, transporting materials between buildings, stocking inventory, and performing shipping and receiving tasks. This role also operates a cherry picker to pull raw materials and access high‑bay inventory locations. While the position includes driving a company truck, driving is not a full‑day function; during non‑driving periods, the employee performs a variety of warehouse and material handling duties to support operational needs. The role requires strong attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining company safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, material handling, or distribution operations.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or cherry pickers.
• Valid driver’s license required for operating company vehicles between buildings.
• Ability to safely operate a cherry picker and other warehouse equipment (training/certification provided if needed).
• Ability to lift, move, and transport materials up to company‑required weight limits.
• Strong attention to detail when pulling orders, verifying packing lists, and handling inventory.
• Ability to follow FIFO, safety procedures, and quality standards consistently.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently during non‑driving periods.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Warehouse, Commercial, and Military teams.
• Must be able to work at heights when operating the cherry picker.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) to comply with federal contracting regulations.
• Must be a US person as defined by ITAR.
• All candidates must be fluent in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write at a professional level.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift materials throughout the workday.
• Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials up to company‑required weight limits.
• Ability to operate a cherry picker and work at elevated heights safely.
• Ability to climb on and off material‑handling equipment, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks.
• Ability to drive a company truck for short‑distance material transport between buildings (not a continuous, full‑day function).
• Frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms for pulling orders, stocking, scanning, and handling materials.
• Visual acuity required for reading labels, verifying packing lists, and operating equipment safely.
• Ability to sit, stand, or perform repetitive motions for extended periods depending on task assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with inventory systems, material transactions, or basic computer data entry preferred.
• Experience pulling raw materials or working in a manufacturing/production support environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pulls and stages orders for shipment, ensuring the packing list accurately matches the order.
• Examines and inspect stock items for wear, damage, or defects and reports issues to the supervisor.
• Ensures First‑In, first‑Out (FIFO) is followed for all material movements.
• Stocks finished goods items and maintains accurate inventory placement.
• Transports materials between the Warehouse and the Commercial and Military buildings as needed.
• Transports finished material requests to designated departments.
• Operates a cherry picker to pull raw materials and access high‑bay inventory locations safely and efficiently.
• Assists with pulling raw materials and staging them for production or shipment.
• Supports warehouse operations during non‑driving periods by performing material handling, stocking, order pulling, and general warehouse tasks.
• Works in accordance with company safety and quality standards at all times.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
