About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Material Manager – Nuclear Projects position for our client. Location: Richland, WA Duration: 12 months Duties: Coordinates the materials procurement process through all project phases for nuclear-related projects. Acts as a specialist supporting multiple project teams to ensure detailed knowledge of parts, tools, and materials is maintained to enable successful project execution. Coordinate and oversee the material procurement lifecycle for project work, including new Catalog Identifications (CATIDs), Material Requests (MRs), and Purchase Orders (POs). Support projects related to refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance by ensuring materials are properly identified, procured, staged, and available according to project schedules. Maintain administrative tracking of project materials identified during design and planning phases. Develop, maintain, and improve materials tracking processes to clearly communicate the status of all project procurements. Verify and inspect specialty vendor materials when delivered to site to confirm correct quantities and quality requirements. Stage materials in accordance with project schedules and maintain full material traceability from warehouse issuance through installation. Support Supply Chain in resolving shipping and logistics issues and assist with resolution of Overage, Shortage, Damaged, and Discrepancy (OSD&D) conditions. Validate Engineering Change Bill of Materials to ensure compliance with project quality requirements and correct status within Asset Suite 9. Prepare and deliver written and verbal procurement status updates to project teams and senior leadership. Handle and transport materials as needed to ensure proper storage conditions, quantity control, and traceability requirements are maintained. Operate work vehicles such as work trucks and utilize hand and power tools as required for material inspection, staging, and inventory activities. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic project management techniques and understanding of cost-effective work execution practices.
  • Familiarity with human performance principles and error reduction methodologies.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and materials tracking capabilities.
  • Ability to operate small power tools (drill, impact driver) and standard hand tools for material inventory and handling tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and greater than 50 lbs rarely.
  • Experience working in a technical environment such as engineering, construction, project coordination, supply chain, or materials management.
  • Familiarity with material procurement processes including catalog identification, purchase orders, and logistics coordination.
  • Experience supporting project execution, outage planning, or maintenance activities in complex operational environments is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in a technical field OR Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related technical curriculum from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in a technical field OR High School Diploma or GED and five years of experience in a technical field
