About The Position

Emerson is seeking a forward‑thinking leader to oversee a team of project
engineers delivering controls, software, and mechanical solutions for Hydro,
Mechanical Retrofit, and Nuclear projects across North America. As the Director,
Hydro, Mechanical & Nuclear Projects, you will guide strategy, execution, and
innovation for our North America Projects organization. This role plays a
critical part in shaping the future of emerging power technologies, driving
operational excellence, and strengthening customer partnerships. The position is
based in Cranberry Township, PA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; Computer Science; or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years of experience in a project execution or engineering environment
• Demonstrated success leading teams within engineering or manufacturing settings through strategy development and execution
• Self‑driven with the ability to prioritize and deliver in a time‑sensitive environment
• Ability to travel up to 30%
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Experience in project management or engineering with a focus on control system design, applications, commissioning, or field service
• Prior leadership or management experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for employees across the Hydro and Mechanical teams
• Oversee the coordination, implementation, and execution of complex projects while ensuring alignment with company goals and commitments
• Support employee development and create pathways that enable continued professional growth
• Manage regional teams and operations across Amherst, WI and Bluebell, PA
• Collaborate closely with customers and internal partners to deliver high‑quality solutions and maintain strong satisfaction levels
• Monitor and manage a portfolio of Hydro Power, Mechanical Retrofit, and Nuclear projects
• Promote innovation by encouraging new practices and enhanced processes across cross‑functional teams
• Provide monthly forecasts for sales, inventory, and resource utilization
• Identify and implement best practices to improve project execution
• Stay informed on market trends to recommend new or improved service approaches
