About The Position

We are seeking a Material Kitting Associate to join our team! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control. The Material Kitting Associate is responsible for assisting with maintaining component needs for the assembly line. Looking for someone that is a self-starter and can work with minimal supervision. This position will be responsible for getting the finished product ready for assembly for the production line.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of operating forklift truck
  • Computer experience preferred
  • Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects
  • Highly motivated & energetic with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to handle and lift 50 pounds maximum; bending and stretching
  • Ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Understanding of blueprints reading is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights or measures of items from incoming shipments to verify information against Bills of Lading, Invoices, Packing Lists or other records
  • Unpacks and examines materials for the production line
  • Rejects damaged items and records shortages where applicable
  • Meet established requirements and maintains oversight and quality of existing components for all product assembling.
  • Addresses damages or shortages to the Manager for proper routing
  • May operate material tugger to move, convey or hoist shipments from one staging area to another location
  • May receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.
  • Stage goods for stocking
  • Handling paperwork involved in order receipts
  • Fulfill general production requirements through direction of production lead by maintaining various needs in the manufacturing plant.
  • Perform other related duties as required
