 Basic Job Functions:The Material Handling Utility position consists of, but is not limited to, the operations of shipping cranes, poletrucks, forklifts, banding coils, packaging coils both with an automated wrapping machine and by hand, assisting in the loading of rail cars, barges and trucks, general housekeeping of the department, or a variety of other tasksrelated to the successful operation of the shipping department.The Material Handling Utility position requires flexibility to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, somenight shifts and weekends. As the construction phase progresses, the shift will change to a 4 on and 4 off shift schedule.This greenfield project is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located in Mason County, along the Ohio River inclose proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate theability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• A safety track record characterized by consistently adhering to and promoting stringent safety protocols resulting in an accident-free work environment over an extended period of time.

• Previous experience operating forklift, overhead crane, or other mobile equipment.
