About The Position

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is looking for a Material Handling Laborer to work in Fort Hood, TX. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! This position will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Requirements

Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of lifting 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to receive a favorable Tier 1 Investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience in material handling.
Knowledgeable in U.S. Army logistics procedures.
Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
High School Diploma/GED.
Valid Driver's License.
