RMC seeks an experienced Material Handling Laborer to support operations in onsite in Charleston, SC. This role supports inventory and logistics management for Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) and Containerized Airport Surveillance Radar (CASR) systems and requires strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and adherence to government standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory of ASR/CASR systems and related equipment.
  • Use CMPro to track inventory, generate reports, and print labels for assets and storage locations.
  • Research new equipment and coordinate item entry into CMPro.
  • Utilize Navy OneTouch to research National Stock Number (NSN) data and obtain CAGE codes.
  • Partner with logistics teams to coordinate calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
  • Manage turn-ins and disposals through DRMO and the Material Turn-in and Advertisement Process (MTAP) in CMPro.
  • Prepare and process Material Request/Return Forms (MRF) in CMPro to move materials as needed.
  • Coordinate with NAVSUP and FAA personnel for turn-in of equipment carcasses and cores.
  • Support government and logistics inspections, audits, and site compliance activities.
  • Maintain hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in compliance with NIWC Atlantic policies.
  • Assist radar technicians and engineers by pulling, packing, and shipping equipment for lab and field operations.
  • Open and update trouble tickets in support of NIWC Atlantic technical teams.
  • Perform physical handling tasks including loading/unloading trucks, unpacking, shelving, and relocating items using hand trucks or carts.
  • Guide and assist with forklift operations as needed.
  • Maintain and safeguard a government-issued laptop for all work-related activities.
  • Complete all required government-mandated training on schedule.
  • Ensure proper physical security of laboratory spaces and equipment for the Special Projects Integrated Product Team (IPT).
