About The Position

Responsible for driving a forklift to move, store, and organize materials inside a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate inventory management. This role involves safely operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport materials to designated storage areas. The Material Handler will organize and store materials in an orderly and accessible manner, adhering to established safety protocols and inventory procedures. Key tasks include picking and staging materials for production orders, ensuring accurate counts and timely delivery to machines, performing routine inventory counts and assisting with cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records. The individual will also identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with materials, maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles, and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
