About The Position

Xos (NASDAQ: XOS) is a technology company and electric truck manufacturer dedicated to decarbonizing commercial transportation. They design and build electric vehicles, develop fleet management software, and create charging solutions. Xos is seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join their Warehouse team. This role involves ensuring the efficient movement and handling of materials within the facility. The successful Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments of raw materials or products, including loading and unloading packages and verifying their contents against orders. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing incoming materials to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a shipping and receiving clerk or a similar position.
  • Experience in operating forklifts.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Basic math and recording abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Great communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Available to work full-time hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks.
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
  • Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc).
  • Contact the supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
  • Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
