Filling orders by preassembling individual items into ready-to-ship kits instead of picking and packing those individual items as orders are received is known as material handling. Specifically, material handling involves a process where separate but related items are grouped, packaged, and supplied together as one unit. Packaging parts for making accessory kits and product kits Deliver goods to correct area Assemble orders and prepares goods for shipment and record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability Perform inventory control functions Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines Operates a forklift when needed Ability to process orders within the website of UPS, FedEx, etc. Operate paper and bubble wrap machines Use of hand and power tools General housekeeping of workstation Follow all production and priority schedules provided All other duties as assigned Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
