The Warehouse Order Picker manages pick ticket orders from warehouse staff and management, and physically pulls inventory from the shelves to ensure accurate delivery of warehouse products. This individual also packs orders – including shrink wrapping contents onto pallets – and stages loads for fork truck operators to load onto trucks for delivery. The Warehouse Order Picker does all of this and more, all while ensuring orders are accurate and records of inventory are kept up-to-date for a smooth flow in warehouse operations. While performing the duties of this job, the Warehouse Order Picker regularly works near moving mechanical apparatus and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working is done on concrete flooring, as well as high and precarious places as necessary.
