About The Position

We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to join our logistics team. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and efficiently move, store, and distribute materials and products within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for unloading, organizing inventory, picking orders for shipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records using RF scanners or WMS software.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1–2+ years of previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, reach trucks, or electric pallet jacks; certification is a plus.
  • Tech Literacy: Ability to use RF scanners or handheld devices for inventory tracking.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in counting and verifying materials to prevent shipping errors.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Stamina: Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for 8-10+ hours per shift.
  • Dexterity: Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb, including on/off forklifts.
  • Environment: Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, which may include high or low temperatures.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Active forklift certification (OSHA).
  • Experience with SAGE or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP).

Responsibilities

  • Shipping & Receiving: Unload inbound shipments, verify goods against packing lists/purchase orders, and load outbound shipments.
  • Material Movement & Storage: Transport raw materials, components, or finished goods to and from loading docks, production areas, or designated storage locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, perform accurate inventory counts (cycle counts), and properly label, stack, and shrink-wrap products.
  • Order Picking: Analyze pick sheets to accurately pull products for customer orders.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA, FDA, or company-specific safety policies, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-shift safety inspections on forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
  • Documentation: Record data on inventory movement in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system (e.g., SAP).
