About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: To obtain the highest quality materials and the best possible value for goods and services, in an ethical and legal manner, consistent with the company’s workmanship standards and required delivery times. To organize and maintain inventory levels and counts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of forklift experience
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Capable of using ingenuity to come up with improvements
  • Collaborative in a team environment, yet able to work independently
  • Excellent computer knowledge (MRP background, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and related documents
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to pass D.O.T. physical
  • Able to follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • Basic math ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good knowledge of packaging techniques
  • Good knowledge of tooling and hardware

Responsibilities

  • Manage all raw material purchases including certs
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with suppliers and internal quality team
  • Maintain vendor information
  • Work with QA department regarding non-conforming material
  • Manage receiving/inventory personnel and area
  • Work with the Inventory control team to control inventory through cycle counts, investigation and other procedures
  • Issue materials as required
  • Review, investigate and close work orders
  • Create and update any and all procedures relevant to area
  • Work closely with the accounting department
  • Keep management informed about any anticipated supply problems and take preventive actions
  • Work with other departments to continuously improve
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Coordinate quality concerns with suppliers and other company departments
  • Ensure work is documented accurately
  • Participate actively and positively in Lean activities
  • Consistently engage in cost saving activities
  • Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentation
  • Organization of back lot on multiple sites
  • Building Cleanliness
  • Assist with other assembly projects as needed
  • Other duties that may be assigned
