A Material Handler regularly performs routine to moderately advanced production activities to maintain the flow of work under limited supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals); ability to read a tape measure.
Proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow and give instructions.
Basic problem-solving skills.
Solid communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
Work authorization: United States (Required)
High School or equivalent. Crane and Forklift certification required.
High school or equivalent
Forklift and Crane Operator certification required.

Nice To Haves

Prior metals experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport, load, unload, and store steel coils in appropriate locations using various equipment (Forklift, Crane, etc.).
Inspect and assist in packaging coils as needed and manage scrap.
Completes required paperwork/system input for each product.
Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.
Performs other duties as assigned.
