The Material Handler position primarily involves supporting material movement, including order picking, stock pulling for pick lines and outbound loads, loading/unloading trailers, servicing manufacturing, stocking products, and general housekeeping duties, utilizing both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

Requirements

Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Lift Truck certified or able to demonstrate past experience through a fork lift evaluation.
Ability to be on feet up to 11.5 hours per shift.
Strong math skills.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Communicates well with others.
Able to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Accuracy, attention to detail and being well organized.
Team Player.
Self-Motivated.
Must be safety conscious.

Responsibilities

Perform functions to support the movement of material.
Pick orders to train.
Pull stock from the warehouse to supply the pick lines and/or for outbound loads being worked through the shrink area.
Load outbound loads.
Unload inbound trailers.
Service manufacturing.
Stock product from the dock or from Manufacturing.
Perform housekeeping.
Perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or team lead.
Ensure that all loads are picked/loaded correctly accordingly to customer requirements.
Perform daily inspections of lift truck per inspection form.
Accurately complete paperwork for transactions.
Operate equipment in a safe manner.
