Material Handler 2 is an intermediate position, generally full-time. Team member can resolve most questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to the team, supervisor or manager. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Included for Material Handler 2: Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately Pull downs/restock inventory Pulling Orders: Pull customer orders completely and accurately Returns: Inspect and physically count return merchandise assuring it is in resalable condition in order to give a “Quality Minded” reputation Loading: Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety Operate power equipment, including powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts May perform counter, dispatch, or other duties General housekeeping: Keep a safe work environment by keeping the work area clean Live our values of High Performance, Caring Relationships, Strategic Foresight, and Entrepreneurial Spirit Find A Better Way by championing continuous improvement and quality control efforts to identify opportunities to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization Continuously learn and develop self professionally Support corporate efforts for safety, government compliance, and all other company policies & procedures Perform other related duties as required and assigned Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of inventory (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Protective equipment required : steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt , SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. Lubricants except for steel / composite toe boots. Work environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.
