About The Position

The role of the Material Handler is to assist with the inventory management and distribution of products by loading/unloading shipments, pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly respond to requests for transport of materials.
• Transport and stage work in progress (WIP) using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Verify material size, treatment level, and count; compare identifying information to required material on work orders to ensure accuracy.
• Safely and efficiently prioritize and perform the movement of inventory throughout the warehouses, including:
• Moving raw material and products withing the plants.
• Preparing appropriate packing materials for all products.
• Consolidating and organizing all parts and pieces.
• Assist with shipping/receiving and inventory, as needed.
