About The Position

Responsible for the cutting of sheet metal to size for jobs per Customer’s engineering drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum one year experience with a saw and/or shear in an aerospace setting
• Ability to read blueprints and decipher drawings
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work overtime when needed
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Proficient in blue print reading
• Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers and scales
• Ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of part and traveler
• Verify specific material callouts on traveler
• Verify material certificates to the Customers’ parts list
• Verify accuracy of job/workmanship when performing job
• Maintain specifications by observing operations and the wear and tear on shear machine
• Perform material handling safety procedures
• Verify accuracy of job/workmanship when performing job
• Maintain specifications by observing operations
• Adhere to all quality assurance procedures and processes
• Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
