Job Summary: The Material handler is responsible for hand pick, pack and shipping functions within Operations. Able to do inventory functions through the use of handheld devices, desktop computer and manual tracking methods. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist in pick/pack/shipping functions of Operations. This may include collation, hand inserting, manual assembly, kit building, etc. 2. Meet or exceed all service level goals, while maintaining safety and accuracy of work. Make recommendations to improve projects where production goals are not being met. 3. As trained, operate all material handling equipment in a safe manner; this includes, but is not limited to: forklifts, pallets jacks, and reach trucks. 4. Assist in keeping all equipment in good working order and reporting any known mechanical problems to the Operations leadership team. 5. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards. 6. Use various shipping software to execute outbound shipping activities (both parcel and LTL/TL) · Perform imports of distribution lists to mass produce of shipping labels · Process LTL/TL BOL’s · Knowledgeable about International shipping requirements 8. Perform any/all other duties as assigned.
