About The Position

Are you a reliable and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment? We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to support our operations by moving, handling, and storing materials while ensuring safe and efficient transportation throughout the facility. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in supporting production by managing inventory, operating equipment, and safely handling critical materials such as acids and salts. After the initial training period on 1st shift, this will be a 2nd shift position. This role requires the ability to safely operate material handling equipment, accurately enter and record data, and follow strict safety protocols—especially when working with chemical materials. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Basic math, computer literacy, and ERP data entry experience.
  • Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability with initiative and independence when needed.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain.
  • Must pass drug screening, complete a background check and physical, and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments; inspect materials for damage and verify quantities against packing slips.
  • Load and unload chemical trucks and railcars, ensuring proper equipment setup, safe handling procedures, quality checks, and completion of required documentation.
  • Safely handle bulk materials such as acids and salts, including receiving, transferring, inspecting, and recording inventory in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
  • Store materials in designated locations with proper organization and labeling.
  • Operate and maintain automated bagging equipment; inspect and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Address material flow issues such as clogged conveying lines or buildup in bins.
  • Transport materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular cycle counts, and report discrepancies.
  • Pick and load orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols; report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.
  • Accurately enter data related to material movements and inventory into the company ERP system.
  • Complete required documentation for inventory adjustments and order fulfillment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
