About The Position

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our team in Fayetteville, TN. As part of this role, the Material Handler will perform various duties in receiving, stocking, picking, packing, quality control, and shipping of products within the Home Solutions warehouse. Please note at certain times, this role will require product to be unloaded from delivery trucks by hand. This is a full-time, onsite position that requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Less than 1 year experience.
  • Steel toe shoes and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are required to be worn at all times - no exceptions.
  • Ability to operate equipment as needed: forklift (certified, as needed), pallet jack, storopack machine, system guided picking carts, stretch film machine, floor scrubber.
  • Ability to use tools: utility knife, tape gun, screw drivers, common hand tools as needed.
  • Ability to work in elevations greater than 20 feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. floor to waist.
  • Ability to Team lift 50 lbs. waist to shoulder, overhead or carry 20 feet.
  • Seeing, Hearing, Talking, Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Grasping, Repetitive Motions, Use of Fingers.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling stock from warehouse locations in order to fulfill a customer pick ticket.
  • Completing appropriate documentation as needed for certain processes.
  • Assembling proper containers or selecting preassembled container for the shipping of products using spacers, fillers, and/or protective padding.
  • Receiving, processing, and stocking inbound products in their appropriate location.
  • Transferring stock to and from locations within the warehouse.
  • Pulling and packaging multiple items to create a kit for certain orders.
  • Handling and loading multi-sized packages onto outbound truck.
  • Auditing orders and correcting when appropriate.
  • May operate lift truck (if certified) or manual pallet jack to move and hoist products from one area to another.
  • May operate lift truck (if certified) or manual pallet jack to load and unload product from inbound and outbound trailers.
  • Breaking down and properly disposing of packaging materials.
  • Keeping work area and facility clean, neat, and organized at all times.
  • Utilizing appropriate tools and equipment as needed for all responsibilities.
  • Reliable attendance is a must and willingness to work various shift hours as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
