About The Position

The material handler position compiles and maintains plastic resin, finished goods inventory, and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas by performing the following duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Stable work history
Good attention to detail
Ability to read and understand work instructions and do basic math
Basic keyboarding and computer skills

Nice To Haves

Prior plastic injection molding experience

Responsibilities

Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
Ensures the transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
Maintains integrity of all materials by verifying product identifications, weights, and moisture analysis.
Dries plastic resin to specifications.
Sets up and maintains all material equipment throughout production runs.
Mixes thermoplastic resins and colorants.
Stages all materials to the work station including resin, packaging, inserts, etc.
Uses grinders to grind scrap plastic parts and runners.
Cleans drying and grinding equipment.
Assists in press operation as needed.
