MATERIAL HANDLER – 1ST SHIFT SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler is to prepare domestic and international shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications. Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment and returned goods. Check received goods against purchase orders or receiving papers. Pull and return material to manufacturing locations. Maintain Daily Shipping Log and prepare receiving and shipping paperwork. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to completely and accurately prepare documents such as work orders, bill of ladings, Commercial Invoice Forms, Certificate of Analysis, and North American Free Trade Agreement Forms. Requisition and store shipping materials, production materials, and supplies to maintain inventory. Including rotation of stock. Deliver or route materials to departments using devices such as hand truck, fork truck or stand-up truck. (Staging raw materials and moving finished product). Load and unload trucks Weigh, wrap, and affix proper labels to finished skids to prepare materials for shipping. Combining items on skids. Pull and prepare inventory orders. Double package items in preparation for UPS or Fed X over the counter pickup. Weigh and load scrap trailers keeping receiving dock clear of scrap pallets; coordinate with scrap companies when trailers are to be switched out. Maintain 5S standards in Shipping dock, Receiving dock and Production area. Receive/Ship materials following standard work instructions. Keep and maintain cleanliness throughout production and both warehouse areas, such as replacing scrap bins when needed, keeping main floors free of debris, and loading of scrap trucks.
