Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Through words and actions support Chattanooga Goodwill’s Mission, Vision, and Values; furthermore, actions and decisions will align with organizational guiding principles.
  • Maintain agency, employee, and participants confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality may be cause for termination.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Consistently and efficiently perform work tasks according to training, e-learning, and work instructions.
  • Abide by the policies and procedures as set forth by Goodwill.
  • Ensure security and protection of all company assets.
  • Effectively communicate with management, peers, and donors.
  • Effectively promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
  • Loading and unloading of Goodwill trucks and trailers.
  • Operate all equipment safely and in accordance with training and operating manuals. This includes bailers, tippers, and compactors.
  • Sort salvage in proper categories.
  • Sort and prepare Dell in proper categories.
  • Trash disposal.
  • Operate a forklift, if requirements for forklift operator are met and successful training is completed.
  • Meet minimum daily production goals.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area at all times.
  • Adhere to safety and security practices including prompt reporting of safety hazards and injuries to management.
  • Attend and complete all training and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
