About The Position

Provides general support for warehouse/distribution center operations performing any combination of tasks needed to complete orders, replenish stock, ship and/or receive merchandise

Requirements

  • Must be able to understand and comply with verbal instructions
  • Good reading and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills; typing, navigating through various programs (MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), good internet navigation
  • Must be able to read English from printed list or hand-held monitor
  • Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)
  • Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 70 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs.); receiving unloads up to 100%; order pulling up to 100%
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumes.
  • Commitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received daily
  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Prior warehouse experience (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
  • Additional power equipment experience (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Assist shipping and receiving
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Pull small, medium, and large orders from shelves
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Complete order logs into inventory
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to Midwest Hose organizational standards
  • Maintains inventory control by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment
  • Maintain professionalism in the work place
  • Perform any other assigned proprietary duties
