Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills and ability to read measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, micrometer)
  • Understanding of tolerances (+/-)
  • Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment (crane and/or forklift)
  • Ability to accurately complete system entries and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 75 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Locate sheet and/or long product based on work order requirements
  • Verify material meets order specifications and quality standards
  • Operate overhead crane (including sheet lifter or vacuum lifter) to move and split bundles as needed
  • Package material according to work order specifications and company packaging standards
  • Print and attach finished goods tags
  • Accurately enter transactions in AS400 and complete work orders
  • Complete all required documentation and forms
  • Enter receiving information and generate receiving tags
  • Load and unload trucks using crane and/or forklift
  • Stack and store material safely in designated areas
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
