About The Position

Essential f unctions: Assist in loading and unloading of various materials in all form s to and from specified destinations, such as retail locations, plants, residences or other businesses. Operate forklift and other material handling equipment in a safe and effici ent manner while loading, off- loading, storing or moving m aterials . Safely and efficiently run the balers to create post retail baled products. Assist Truck Driver s and other Material s H andler s in maintaining warehouse and dock area s in a neat and orderly manner . Work with supervisor in solving problems while remaining flexible in adjusting to changes in operation and scheduling requirements . Maintains a professional and courteous image while dealing with the warehouse co-workers . As assigned, a ttend safety trainings and follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and supervised work environment for all employees at all times. Promote positive teamwork among co-workers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and requ ired skills: Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently. Education and experience: High school diploma or GED . Forklift certification ; training provided by Goodwill. One year experience as a M aterial s H andler in a manufacturing environment preferred .
