Job Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate reception, storage management, and issuing of all finished goods and raw materials. Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive) Load, unload, move, count / pick, stack and stage product and materials using a sit down or stand-up forklift as required. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Inspect any assigned equipment on a daily basis. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following work methods and OSHA standards. Drives electric powered devices such as forklift, elevating platforms to lift or stack products or materials. Assist in maintaining / promoting the safety of the warehouse. Report issues and problems to management. Will support and abide by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures. Accurately pull and prepare materials using the first in first out (FIFO) methodology for production orders. Responsible for filling out all documentation correctly and clearly. Inspect all materials during picking, shipping and receiving to ensure product number accuracy and material is free of damage. Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s). Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times. Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
