About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 2nd Shift at our Highland, IL location! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $23.62 per hour, and a $0.50 shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED (General Wage Increase) from an accredited institution required.
  • Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks (i.e. fork trucks, cranes, combi-lifts).
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. Only applicants located within 50 miles of Highland, IL will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Manufacturing experience.
  • Prior overhead crane operating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate rigging equipment including nylon straps, wired-braided straps, chain slings, sheet stock handlers, rail rack attachments, and spreader bars to move and secure materials.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and combi lifts to transport materials and support production operations.
  • Utilize fall protection equipment, including body harnesses and lanyards, in accordance with safety procedures.
