About The Position

The Maverick Power Receiving/Material Handler will receive and unload freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verify items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies; stocks shelves and rotates inventory; may receive, store, and ship flammable, explosive or caustic and hazardous material; may assemble and move furniture; may maintain equipment and vehicles.

  • Previous stock or inventory experience a plus
  • Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards.
  • Load and unload packages
  • Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, etc.
  • Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
  • Pull material to fulfil orders properly.
  • Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed.
  • Document orders, materials, and any stock movements
  • Ability to confidently communicate, interact and build internal and external customer relationships supporting Maverick Powers culture.
  • Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
  • Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
  • Participates in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard.
  • maintains inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received.
  • operates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information.
  • answers phone and provide information using customer service skills.
  • may provide advice regarding supplies or property including price and availability.
  • may prepare or communicate with Buyers damage claims for supervisors review and signature.
  • may coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.
  • Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.
