The Service Workshop Material Handler is responsible for managing the flow of materials within the Service Workshop. This includes handling incoming customer complaint materials, managing service inventory, staging parts for analysis and repair, pulling spare parts, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role supports the Customer Service Technicians and ensures that all materials are available, traceable, and handled efficiently to support timely service operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and material-handling equipment.
  • Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or service workshop environments.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (QSYS, ERP systems preferred).
  • OSHA-compliant and willing to train on additional machinery.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Effective communication with technicians and service staff.
  • Familiarity with the metric system and 5S workplace organization practices.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and log incoming customer complaint materials.
  • Stage parts and tools for Customer Service Technicians based on repair and analysis schedules.
  • Pull and deliver spare parts for service repairs and replacements.
  • Track and document material movement in internal systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of service workshop materials and tools.
  • Support packaging and preparation of repaired or scrapped items for outbound shipment.
  • Inspection and maintain material-handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Service Workshop area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Collaborate with technicians and service administrators to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
