The Material Handler position is responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing and distributing of material/parts. Ensure all activity is accurately recorded within ERP system. Candidate must be able to conduct work in a professional, safe, and hazard free manner while ensuring a high level of quality control and adhering to material handling precautions for damage/loss prevention.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Overtime may be required to meet business needs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to organize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instruction and to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to lift heavy items (40 lbs. on a regular basis) and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years prior warehouse experience
• 2 years experience in use of inventory management system to perform inventory transactions, inventory reporting, inventory reconciliation/ investigations
• Forklift and pallet jack experience

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of deliveries.
• Identify and label material to their proper stock location.
• Move materials from receiving area to proper stock location.
• Accurately pick parts for production and customer orders.
• Accurately pick customer kits and prep for shipping.
• Perform inventory updates in ERP system for receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments.
• Maintains 5S and safe operating conditions.
