About The Position

Overview The Material Handler is responsible for the daily management and movement of company inventory. This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring materials are received, stored, issued, and tracked accurately and safely. The position works closely with engineers, technicians, and cross‑functional teams to maintain smooth material flow and uphold inventory integrity. Daily travel may be required to support regional asset movement and disposal activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma ; two-year degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities with advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP data entry.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel daily within the assigned region.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR check, fit for duty/agility test.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Verify material quality and identify defects or discrepancies.
  • Accurately identify materials using part numbers or written descriptions.
  • Count, weigh, and record materials handled on daily production sheets.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP and other systems.
  • Load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site.
  • Manually transfer materials onto or from pallets, shelves, and designated storage areas.
  • Transport materials from storage locations to work areas as needed.
  • Assemble crates or packaging for products when required.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and containers.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external clients to support material movement and asset disposal.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines and equipment.
  • Follow all safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
