Position Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, loads/unloads trucks, makes sure all proper transactions are done, and systems are kept up to date, and prepares items, for the shop on shipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to operate forklift and other warehouse machinery and be able to pass certification testing of same.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, along with standard math skills, i.e. add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Compares identifying information and counts, affixes shipping labels, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, order, or other records.
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damages in transit.
Completes physical inventory counting and cycle counting when directed.
Stages equipment for shop per job order, sales order, or verbal instructions.
Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
