Material Handler
About The Position
The Material Handler role involves a range of tasks related to material management, including loading, unloading, moving, stocking, pulling, and labeling materials. Key responsibilities include preparing materials for production or shipment, accurately counting, weighing, and recording all transactions, and performing necessary computer and scanner operations. The position requires the operation of equipment such as pallet jacks and other machinery. Candidates are expected to meet or exceed daily material movement rates and support a high on-time delivery percentage. The role also encourages participation in Continuous Improvement events and the evaluation of processes for effective output. The work environment is characterized by frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts, exposure to airborne particles, and a usually high noise level, necessitating proper protective equipment. Physically, the job demands standing for 8 hours, frequent walking, regularly lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, stock, pull, and label material
- Prepare materials for use in production or for shipment to external customers
- Count, weigh, and record all transactions
- Perform required computer and or scanner transactions
- Operate pallet jack, and/or equipment as trained and required.
