This facility operates six days a week and produces sausage crumbles and dry sausage. The starting base rate of pay is $21.05 per hour with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift position placement. We currently have various positions open that applicants may be considered for. Position schedules vary by available positions and some schedules may include a 7-day rotation. Role Overview: This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. In this position you will:

Requirements

  • Have 3 months of operator experience with various types of powered industrial vehicles or material handling equipment.
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
  • Have no more than 4 attendance points.
  • Have had no suspensions within the past 12 months.
  • Have no more than 2 written warnings in the last 12 months.
  • Have no lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.
  • New TM’s still in 30 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid.
  • Probationary TM’s bidding after their first 30 days, must have no more than 2 points.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
  • Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
  • Must be willing and able to lift and carry 60 pounds.
  • The Team Member will move from one area of production to another.
  • The Team Member will stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility.
  • The Team Member will read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork.
  • The Team Member will visually inspect product.
  • The Team Member will work in extremely cold temperatures.
  • The Team Member will wear the necessary safety equipment, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Learn product codes, know where product belongs and keep pre-blend cooler organized.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport raw product to and from coolers and production areas.
  • Be responsible for weighing and recording the weight of finished ground product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
