This position starts at $19.90 per hour. . Role Overview: The Material Handler will safely operate a PIT, inspect it at the start of each shift, and enter data into Tyson's computer systems. In this role you will: Learn product codes, knowing where product belongs and keeping pre-blend cooler organized. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport raw product to and from coolers and production areas. Weigh and record the weight of finished ground product. Read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork. Visually inspect product. Wear necessary safety equipment, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be willing and able to lift and carry 60 pounds. The Team Member will be regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility. The Team Member will work in extremely cold temperatures. The Team Member will move from one area of production to another. You will qualify for this position if you: Have 3 months of operator experience with various types of powered industrial vehicles or material handling equipment. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
