About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming materials, verifying them against purchase orders or packing slips. This role involves accurately staging, storing, and retrieving materials based on production schedules and inventory needs. The Material Handler operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks (PITs) safely and efficiently, and performs inventory transactions in warehouse management or ERP systems. Key responsibilities also include supporting production by ensuring timely and accurate material delivery, conducting routine cycle counts, assisting in root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies, and maintaining proper documentation for all material movements. The position requires adherence to all safety protocols and participation in safety initiatives, with frequent exposure to warehouse or manufacturing environments and physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of material handling, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong understanding of inventory control practices.
• Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, work orders, and shipping documents.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software (e.g., WMS, ERP).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
• Familiarity with barcode scanners or RF devices.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under minimal supervision.
