About The Position

Material Handler is responsible for providing materials to the production floor. Supplying materials to production lines. Housekeeping activities such as cleaning up and emptying scrap bins as required.

Requirements

• English competent (speak, write and read)
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Competent with basic math calculations
• Experience operating pallet jacks and other moving hand equipment
• Able to follow instructions
• Ability to work in and promote team environment

Responsibilities

• Supply materials to production lines, this includes paper, cartons and needed materials.
• Ensures that supply of boxes, plastic bags, cell dividers, liners and shrink wrap materials are available at all times.
• Stocks pallets with material and product in an orderly and safe manner within designated areas.
• Keeps pallets and product from obstructing or blocking fire control or safety-related equipment, electrical panels, traffic aisles, stairways, hazardous materials storage or any other area requiring free access to employees or equipment traffic.
• Moves or removes material and finished product in/out department to designated locations.
• Relieves machine operator during breaks, lunchtime or as needed.
• Conducts housekeeping chores in the job area.
• Complies with company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Performs special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel.
