About The Position

We’re looking for a Material Handler to be responsible for transporting materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations to support the functions of a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and detail-oriented problem-solver with a demonstrated ability to balance safety and productivity. The Material Handler will report to the Production Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills preferred: Spreadsheet Software (Excel/Google Sheets) Manufacturing Software Project Management software Word Processing software (Word/Google Docs) Electronic Mail Software (Google) Presentation software (PowerPoint/Google Slides)

Nice To Haves

1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment
Significant forklift experience, history of having obtained OSHA compliant certification
Good functional knowledge and adaptability to various computer systems/tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver
Excellent management and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

Distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
When problems arise, resolves issues with department supervisors and others
Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
