About The Position

This position involves tasks such as receiving, storing, and distributing materials. In this role you will be delivering hardware and supplies throughout the plant, pack spare parts for shipment to our customers, as well as load and unload trailers in the dock. Job Description Working at our Erlanger Facility: In 1985, GE Engine Services Distribution Center opened its doors to store and ship commercial spare parts. Now commonly known as the Erlanger Distribution Center, we are located next to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Erlanger, KY. Completing over 50K transactions per week, our main function is to receive, stock, pick, and ship commercial hardware for both commercial spares and new make engine assembly. The facility opened with 19 team members and has grown significantly over the past several years. Our hourly team members are represented by the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW). Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year(s) of related warehouse experience.
  • Ability to work 2nd OR 3rd shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to drive powered Industrial Vehicles both sitting and standing.
  • Ability to use equipment such as automated packaging, banding machines, foam in place, carton slitters, shrink wrap machines, powered industrial vehicles, as well as scales and hand tools including banding devises, staplers, and screw drivers.
  • You will need to complete daily tasks requiring the lifting of packages up to a maximum weight of 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide shipment services for engine and non-engine hardware.
  • Perform assembly and spare kitting.
  • Maintain shop supply inventory.
  • Use computer / RF devices for receipt and packing of engine hardware and supplies.
  • Operate heavy-duty industrial trucks and similar mobile equipment to lift and move engine hardware and supplies.
  • Clean area offices / shop floors and provide labor services for assigned areas.
  • Requires standing for extended periods of time.
