Job Description Summary: This position reports to the Inventory Control Manager and is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all product into and out of the stockroom. Primarily responsible for the cutting and processing of daily cable requirements, as well as, assisting in the timely packaging of Mil spec orders. As part of the materials team, this position will be cross-trained in all positions within the stockroom and must be willing to assist where needed to meet business demand.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • Good computer skills and basic math skills required
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
  • Must have good manual dexterity to handle small parts
  • Use of safety glasses
  • Use of steel protective shoes or protective shoe covers
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Some stockroom or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Fork truck experience preferred, must be able to receive company certification (company will provide training)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accurate management of the cable cutting process. This includes organizing pick lists in the most efficient order, cutting cable to the correct length, transacting the material on the shop order, and delivering the cable to the production floor in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for assisting in the Mil spec packaging area. This includes crate/carton prep, coiling and preserving cable as outlined in the work instruction and printing labels per MIL-129.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate kitting of shop orders for the production floor.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming product from the production floor and receiving department.
  • Effectively use the ERP system to record all transactions and perform daily tasks.
  • Perform daily cycle counts.
  • Elevate issues and concerns to the Manager in a timely and effective manner.
  • Execute 5S practices and maintain the work area to a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist team members as needed and demonstrate a positive attitude and respect for all co-workers.
