Material Handler - Louisville
About The Position
We are seeking a Material Handler for our Louisville manufacturing facility. A Material Handler will help organize storage areas and maintain inventory. Your job will include moving pallets from our finished goods conveyor to storage locations, moving material from location to location to maintain organization, and fulfilling predominantly full pallet orders from storage locations. All this activity is done using a stand-up reach truck. Your job will also include loading trucks using a sit-down forklift and unloading and moving raw material using a sit-down clamp truck.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
- Two years in a manufacturing environment in a similar role
- 2+ years Forklift, clamp truck, and deep reach truck experience.
- Experience using a barcode scanner.
Responsibilities
- Check incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and material quality.
- Load and unload pallets and rolls
- Organize stock in the most efficient way using reach trucks, forklifts, and clamp trucks, etc.
- Scan all material movements using a handheld RF scanner.
- Pull and stage material to fulfil orders properly.
- Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and suggest new storage methods when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
