About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the reconciliation of incoming and outgoing materials and movement of finished goods and material. Move material to appropriate areas throughout the plant and document in accordance with established procedures. Load/Unload trucks and document transaction in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in written and verbal communication, and good spelling and grammar.
High degree of attention to detail; demonstrates accuracy and self-directed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel.
Must be able to pass "Forklift Certification" process.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Inventory tracking software desired.
Experience with data entry software and handheld computer device software.

Responsibilities

Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.

Review work orders or schedules to determine operations or procedures.
Record operational or production data.
