About The Position

The purpose of this position is to handle, move and store materials in the warehouse and on the manufacturing floor. You will drive a forklift in the warehouse and throughout the plant. You will move materials from the warehouse to machine centers on the production floor. You will receive training throughout your employment. You will be expected to follow all BRC food safety rules throughout your employment.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift, etc.
  • Ability to follow all proper inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to learn and apply Benchmark Training requirements.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a current, valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all other employees.
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have basic computer input skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel).
  • Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Complete Basic Safety training.
  • Complete Food Safety training.
  • Complete Good Manufacturing Practices training.
  • Complete Line Clearance and Proper Hand Wash Procedures training.
  • Complete Forklift Operation and Safety training.
  • Understand Blade and Clothing Policy.
  • Understand all requirements of BRC and how they apply to all employees, guests and vendors.
  • Complete Use of Pallet Jack and other required mechanical equipment used in the warehouse and on the shop floor training.
  • Complete Microsoft Word and Excel Training.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all proper safety procedures and regulations, including wearing required protective gear and dispose of materials as required.
  • Identify, transport, pack, remove and properly dispose of material.
  • Physically move material along with using proper equipment to move product as required.
  • Interact with all warehouse, shop floor and office staff.
  • Participate in counting inventory as needed in the warehouse.
  • Drive a forklift in the warehouse and throughout the plant.
  • Move materials from the warehouse to machine centers on the production floor.
  • Follow all BRC food safety rules.
  • Read and understand Bills of Lading, orders invoices and packing lips.
  • Prepare Outgoing Shipments—Wrapping, Packing, and Documenting etc.
  • Complete a Trailer Inspection.
  • Manage Inventory and Proper Routing of Incoming Shipments.
  • Understand and follow all Quality Objectives.
