About The Position

JOB PURPOSE: The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently storing, moving, and managing materials within the warehouse or production environment. This role supports smooth operations by ensuring materials are accurately handled, tracked, and delivered where needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment to move materials between storage areas, loading docks, and production lines. Pull and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all material movements are accurately documented. Track and maintain inventory levels by identifying, labeling, and recording materials and storage locations. Adjust or replace basic equipment parts (e.g., rollers, belts, plugs, caps) using hand tools. Assemble product containers, crates, and pallets using hand tools and precut lumber. Install protective materials—including bracing, padding, or strapping—to prevent damage during transportation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while adhering to all safety procedures and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and production efficiency. Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of forklift operation experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic manufacturing parts, processes, and warehouse procedures.
