About The Position

This position is responsible for leading the process of internal logistics, handling materials such as sub-assemblies and hardware for orders daily for assigned departments ensuring product is organized and picked to correct quantity, length, shape, and orientation according to customer and/or product requirements.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Safety conscious behavior.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work with various types of material handling constraints with guidance.
  • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs frequently.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
  • Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
  • Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to work in a 55 – 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording inventory delivered and location of.
  • Ensure proper packing, labeling, and handling of finished goods of preparing shipments to customers.
  • Builds and assembles product to customer specifications as needed.
  • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to department lead/supervisor.
  • Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.
  • Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
  • Must be willing to learn and operate/assemble other equipment/parts.
  • Perform daily maintenance to assigned equipment/work center to keep in proper working order.
  • Has the ability to read blueprints to ascertain correct specifications and perform in-process inspections.
  • Safely move material using forklift and/or pallet jack.
  • Cleans and maintains an orderly work area using the 5S procedure set up.
  • Assist other individuals in area when needed.
  • Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
  • Promotes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies, process, and procedures.
  • Tow motor inspection and operation.
  • Receive, verify, and put away all parts entering the department.
  • Verify counts and quality of parts received from other departments.
  • Inventory control & cycle counts
  • Pull parts and stage jobs as needed for assembly.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and shipping information on all freight.
  • Print shipping labels, wrap freight, and deliver it to the shipping department.
  • Oversee and coordinate the recycling trailer
  • Call for trash compactor removal or replacement
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Clean and organize warehouse.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
