The Material Handler is responsible for stocking, picking materials and delivering them to proper department. The material handler conducts frequent inventory audits. Facilitate the process of sending out inventory in storage to appropriate station. Quickly and efficiently get items from their place on the shelves to a rack, truck or shipping container. In-depth understanding of our warehouse's layout so it can easily navigate to the correct aisle and find the type of inventory they need. The Order Picker performs basic quality assurance by inspecting goods and their containers for possible damage before packing them to be shipped. Pickers also maintain the machines they use and perform repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing plant, with one year of experience working as an Order Picker, a Packer or any other similar role in a warehouse or storage facility.
  • Familiar with warehouse operations and following safety regulations.
  • 1-2 years' experience in the use of inventory management software, preferably D365.
  • Experience working with handling equipment and be able to perform simple maintenance tasks on this equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Pick materials per picking schedule and work order pick sheets.
  • Complete Inventory control paperwork for stockroom (Back Order Sheets, BOM records, Cycle Counts).
  • Ability to use a RF Gun.
  • Count materials as specified for daily cycle counts.
  • Properly process returns to stockroom.
  • Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved.
  • Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage.
  • Performing general warehouse duties as necessary.
  • Ability to use a radio frequency or barcode scanner.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long hours.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great self-independence and motivation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Keep area clean and organized.
