About The Position

This hybrid role combines Material Handling, Receiving & Import Coordination responsibilities with Depot Repair Technician II for technical repair functions. The position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient shipping/receiving operations, regulatory compliance, accurate system documentation, and high-quality diagnostic and repair services for handheld XRF and related instruments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of shipping experience
  • Experience with receiving and/or import coordination preferred
  • 1+ years of related technical, repair, receiving, or service experience
  • Electronics background strongly preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to meet or exceed quality and productivity standards
  • Maintain composure and quality under high-stress conditions
  • Commitment to safety and clean work environments

Nice To Haves

  • Perform component soldering (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • MRP/ERP system experience
  • Ability to work with small components under a microscope using precision tools
  • Experience working in ESD-controlled environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections and manual logging of equipment, parts, and documentation
  • Receive shipments in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), hazardous material handling, and international shipping regulations
  • Coordinate import documentation and ensure proper regulatory adherence
  • Maintain secure and organized Shipping/Receiving areas
  • Perform routine and accurate data entry into ERP, CRM, or other tracking systems
  • Crosstrain and assist with administrative support functions
  • Lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly to shoulder height
  • Repeatedly squat, bend, and lift materials
  • Sit for extended periods during data entry tasks
  • Diagnose and repair handheld XRF instruments and in-process units
  • Provide detailed corrective action documentation for repairs
  • Meet daily and weekly repair targets (KPIs)
  • Prioritize repair orders with team lead
  • Crosstrain on calibration processes
  • Maintain ISO-auditable records of repairs and testing results
  • Perform MRP system transactions and process work orders
  • Troubleshoot failure modes within assigned processes
  • Follow ISO9000, ESD, PPE, and 5S standards
  • Participate in daily team stand-up meetings
  • Train fellow technicians as needed
  • Perform component soldering (preferred)
  • Operating hardware and software test systems
  • Communicate repair status updates, revised quotes, and parts delays to Tech Support and internal teams
