About The Position

You will deliver material in an effort to support the manufacturing process with a priority on Inventory Control. Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, you will maintain the materials in the warehouse in an organized fashion with part numbers on all product, pull and stage jobs as assigned per the production schedule and associated pick tickets, deliver staged jobs per the production schedule and respond to material requisitions where pick lists or Kanban systems are not in place. Inventory accuracy is the highest priority for this role except for Safety which is the only activity that outweighs accuracy. All of the responsibilities and functions as detailed in the Material Handler I job description. Have complete familiarity of all job functions in both Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse operations. Trained and certified in the use of all of the Material Handling equipment throughout the manufacturing operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, stand-ups, etc. Able to access the ERP system and perform inventory transactions and inquiries within the system. Utilizing the ERP system, determine by part number, quantity of material on hand by location. Able to research inventory discrepancies by reviewing transaction history of material movement. Understands how and why the Quarantine location exists and how to use it. Performs job tasks in a manner that reflects behavior complimentary to the JCI LEM program. Is a steward of all safety rules, regulations and guidelines. Other duties as required

Requirements

HS Diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Strong Customer Service skills required; very good communications skills.
Hold a Forklift Certification.
